First-year students living at Stockton can choose between Housing II and III on the main campus in Galloway, or they can live in the Atlantic City Residence Hall. Housing II (buildings A through K) and Housing III (buildings L through P) are community-style residences, sixteen buildings in all with 890 beds. There are three Residential Assistants (RAs), one for each floor, and at least one Graduate Coordinator for each housing complex to provide leadership and help coordinate social activities.

Housing II was named "Founders Hall" at the October 2, 1981 Stockton Founders' Day ceremony, and buildings B, C, D, E, and F are named for five members of the original Board of Trustees. Housing II and III share a courtyard that has a volleyball court and two gazebos. A meal plan is required for first-year students living on campus, but the dormitory rooms are each equipped with a microwave and mini-fridge for those late-night ramen-filled study sessions. Each floor has a shared bathroom area, including multiple showers and bathroom stalls. The common rooms on each floor serve as the main social gathering space for floormates and friends. First-year students who choose to live in Housing II or Housing III get to experience living on their own while still connecting with fellow students in the courtyard or on their floor.
