1986

Paul DiMarco 鈥86 volunteers his time by sharing his musical talents at the Ronald McDonald House and was featured in the RMHC 2019 calendar. As a student, DiMarco was the founding member of WLFR 91.7 Lake Fred Radio. He received a bachelor鈥檚 degree in Liberal Studies from Stockton.


1991

Laurette Pitts 鈥91 was recently named chief financial officer of VSBLTY, a retail software and technology company enhancing security and experience for casinos and other entertainment venues. Pitts has 26 years of experience in the gaming and hospitality industry, and finance and operations. She received a bachelor鈥檚 degree in Business Studies from Stockton.


1995

Tamar LaSure-Owens 鈥95 was recognized as a Lifechanger of the Year by National Life Group for the 2018-19 school year. She is a veteran of the Army National Guard and is a first-grade teacher at Leeds Avenue School in Pleasantville, New Jersey. LaSure-Owens received a bachelor鈥檚 degree in Criminal Justice from Stockton. 


1999

Jaime Howey 鈥99 was named Absegami High School鈥檚 Teacher of the Year. Howey was raised in Galloway Township, teaches English, and has been teaching in the Greater Egg Harbor Regional High School District for 18 years. Howey received a bachelor鈥檚 degree in Literature and Teacher Education from Stockton. 


2000

Brandi Serbeck-Holdren 鈥00 teaches sixth-grade English and Language Arts at the William Davies Middle School and was named one of the 2018-19 Teachers of the Year. Serbeck-Holdren received a bachelor鈥檚 degree in Literature from Stockton. 


2005

Susan Adelizzi-Schmidt 鈥05, president of Suasion Communications Group and Stockton adjunct instructor, has been appointed to Downtown New Jersey鈥檚 (DNJ) Board of Directors, an organization devoted to ensuring the vitality of New Jersey鈥檚 downtowns. Adelizzi-Schmidt received an MBA from Stockton.


2008

Bobbi Hornbeck 鈥08, adjunct faculty of Sociology and Anthropology at Stockton, was selected as one of six recipients to be awarded the 2018 PaleoWest Foundation鈥檚 Scholarship Grant. Applicants were unanimously selected by the Foundation鈥檚 board of directors as the top contenders. Hornbeck received a bachelor鈥檚 degree in Sociology and Anthropology from Stockton and is now a doctoral candidate in Anthropology with a specialization in Archaeology through SUNY-University at Buffalo.  

Shaelene Lauriano Kite 鈥08, owner and director, DBT of South Jersey, was honored at the 快猫成版视频 Research in Psychology Conference on April 17 with a Distinguished Alumni Award for her work as a counselor and DBT-LBC certified clinician. Lauriano Kite gave a brief speech to students about 鈥渁dulting鈥 and how to build the life that one dreams of obtaining, stressing the importance of keeping your eye on the prize and being passionate. She received a bachelor's degree in Psychology. 


2012

Kristopher Cleary 鈥12, M.S. 鈥14, adjunct professor of Speech Pathology and Audiology at Stockton, spoke at The Union Market and Gallery, co-owned by Dani Corso 鈥08, 鈥12, on Dec. 12, 2018, as a part of David's Dream and Believe Cancer Foundation鈥檚 "Coffee and Conversations" series. Cleary received a bachelor鈥檚 degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology, and a master鈥檚 degree in Communication Disorders, both from Stockton. 

2013

Julia Popefka 鈥13, M.S. 鈥16 was awarded the Stockton 2019 Community Engagement Award at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service at Stockton on Jan. 21. Popefka received a bachelor鈥檚 degree in Psychology and a master鈥檚 degree in Occupational Therapy, both from Stockton.


2015

 Leanna Mullen 鈥15, M.A. 鈥17, manager of District Communications of the Egg Harbor Township School District, assists and works with high school students at the EHTHS Eagle News Broadcast with their projects using her own industry expertise. Mullen has her own film company, has been recognized for her talent in communications and film and battled a life-threatening genetic disorder. Mullen received a bachelor鈥檚 degree in Liberal Studies and a master鈥檚 degree in Instructional Technology, both from Stockton.

Jemila Aziza Worley 鈥15, M.S. 鈥18, former NBA dancer for the Philadelphia 76ers, married Austin Howard Medley on March 7, at The Merion in Cinnaminson, N.J. Their wedding was by The Philadelphia Tribune. Worley received a bachelor鈥檚 degree in Psychology and a master鈥檚 degree in Occupational Therapy, both from Stockton. 


2016

Ben Mrozinski 鈥16 was hired as a patrolman with the Harvey Cedars Police Department on Feb. 8. Mrozinski received a bachelor鈥檚 degree in Criminal Justice from Stockton. 


2017

Seaman Matthew Lesyk 鈥17, guarded former President George H.W. Bush鈥檚 casket during his funeral service on Dec. 5, 2018. 鈥淗aving the privilege to stand among history and to honor a president that was a true American hero was extremely humbling. This is an honor I will cherish for my entire life, and I am extremely proud to have represented the U.S. Coast Guard and stand among our joint military branches,鈥 Lesyk said. Lesyk received a bachelor鈥檚 degree in Marine Science from Stockton.

Psychology alumnae Alex Meyes 鈥17 and Kathleen Connelly 鈥18, and current social work student Julie Coker, are members of Stockton's Active Minds chapter. All are among 17 recent graduates and students nationwide to be featured in the national mental health book, 鈥淥ur Stories, Ourselves: Beating the Stigma of Mental Health in Colleges and Universities.鈥

Michael Gardner 鈥17 was sworn in as a patrolman with Manchester Township Police Department during a ceremony at the Municipal Complex Civic Center on Jan.14 in Manchester, New Jersey. Gardner earned a bachelor鈥檚 in Criminal Justice from Stockton and graduated eighth in his class from Ocean County Police Academy in May 2018. He previously worked for the Seaside Heights Police Department.

Terry King 鈥17 was sworn in as a police officer for the Princeton Police Department on Jan. 28. King received a bachelor鈥檚 degree in Criminal Justice from Stockton.


2018

Jaymes Swain 鈥18 is working with students in Adjunct Professor Stephen Nagiewicz鈥檚 鈥74 class on researching a shipwreck beneath the Mullica River Bridge in Port Republic, New Jersey from the Battle of Chestnut Neck. Swain received a bachelor鈥檚 degree in Marine Science from Stockton.
